First Rehab Life receives this award for their outstanding service to policyholders and their exceptional support of the independent agent system. The company sells exclusively through independent agents and brokers, and has been supportive of the growth of the Korean American insurance community. First Rehab Life was honored during KAIA's 9th annual dinner meeting on April 1, 2004. The dinner was held at the Astoria World Manor in Astoria, Queens.
John Baldwin, President of First Rehab Life, accepted the award. He explained why the independent brokerage community is First Rehab Life's sole means of selling insurance: "Independent brokers are businessmen and women, leaders in their communities. They are active and respected members of their communities, and they are insurance experts. They know the insurance needs of their clients better than anyone else does. The carriers could never assemble the talent and the expertise contained in the broker community." John Baldwin reaffirmed to the attending brokers that they "are our partners and true clients."
Gregory V. Serio, Superintendent of the New York Insurance Department, and Hyun Myung Kim, Deputy Consul General of the Consulate General of the Republic of Korea, were among the special guests attending the event.
