Announcement for ShelterPoint Policyholders:
ShelterPoint bases TDI premium solely using the employer wage base, regardless of whether the State Plan has an employee contribution rate.
Please note:Even though the State has re-introduced an employee contribution rate for 2025, ShelterPoint bills are based solely upon the employer’s contribution rate and reportable wages. ShelterPoint premium bills will still require you to provide the reportable taxable employee wages at the State’s prevailing employee annual wage maximum so that we can submit your NJ State Assessment Fee on your behalf.
Based upon how your private plan was filed with the State, you may be responsible for collecting employee contributions based on the State’s prevailing employee annual taxable wage maximum.
By the way, NJ Family Leave Insurance (FLI)1 will continue to be fully funded by employees at a 0.3%3 rate for 2025 – which is an increase from 0.09% in 2024.
