PFL Update: NY State Average Weekly Wage for 2021 Benefits

In the midst of the many challenges brought on by COVID-19, the Department of Labor’s Research & Statistics Division was able to perform its annual update of the New York State Average Weekly Wage (NYSAWW)  - it has been adjusted to $1,450.17

This annual statistical update is used to determine the Paid Family Leave (PFL) benefit for the following year –  meaning, it only applies to calculating the PFL benefit in 2021 and has no impact on benefits received in the current calendar year 2020.
