Last weekend, a team of ShelterPoint employees came together to “make strides toward a world with more birthdays” at the American Cancer Society’s Annual Breast Cancer Walk on Jones Beach. This year the team fundraised an amazing $7,766 for donation! “The Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk is such a significant event to many of ShelterPoint's employees,” explains Carmela D’Avanzo, Director of Human Resources. “Walking gives us an opportunity to celebrate the lives of friends and family who are valiantly fighting against this dreaded disease and also the occasion to honor and remember those we have lost.” This was ShelterPoint’s 8th year participating in the Jones Beach walk, and the highest donation amount that has been raised by the team to date. This exceeded their "Think Pink" goal of $7,500, and as a result their hair is turning pink. Follow us on Facebook.com/shelterpointgroup to see the pink hair pictures later this week!
A big thank you to everyone who supported Team ShelterPoint!
