The New York Department of Labor has published the New York State Average Weekly Wage (NYSAWW) used to calculate Paid Family Leave benefits for 2026.
The NYSAWW, announced on April 1, 2025, increased to $1,833.63*.
Starting January 1, 2026, this updated NYSAWW will be used to determine Paid Family Leave benefits. PFL claims initiated in 2025 will continue to use the previous NYSAWW rate.
