What is the New York Paid Family Leave Rate for 2027?

Monday, August 31, 2026, the New York Department of Financial Services (DFS) announced that the maximum contribution rate for Paid Family Leave for 2027 will change from 0.432% to 0.452% of an employee’s gross annualized wages, capped at $99,957.00*, which is the updated annualized New York State Average Weekly Wage for 2027 (learn more about the NYSAWW here)

This means that the maximum annual premium contribution that an employer can withhold will be $451.81 per employee up from $411.91 this year.
