New York’s Paid Family Leave Draft Regulations Released

On February 22, 2017, New York State published parts of the new Paid Family Leave (PFL) regulations in draft form.  They now enter a 45-day public commenting period, and changes could still be made before final versions are released.

While we do know that Paid Family Leave will be community rated, the exact rating mechanism along with the actual rates themselves are yet to be determined.

We’ve compiled the New York State draft regulations for you here, so it’s easy for you to read through the full details.

Reading tip from your PFL Experts: Within the Proposed Amendments to Section 355.4 of Title 12 of the NYCRR (published by the Workers’ Compensation Board):
Underlined text = Proposed additions/edits
Bracketed text = Proposed deletions/removals
