Effective 01/01/2018, Paid Family Leave (PFL) becomes a mandatory benefit in New York and will be automatically implemented as a rider to all ShelterPoint statutory short-term disability (DBL) policies – unless a Policyholder self-funds its DBL or is otherwise exempt.
