ShelterPoint Life Insurance Company (“ShelterPoint Life”) has announced that David Melman, Senior Vice President of Government Affairs and Chief Legal Officer, has been appointed to the Board of Directors for the Life Insurance Council of New York. He will serve a four year term beginning January 1, 2022 through 2025.

David Melman has been with ShelterPoint Life for almost a decade, where he directs daily compliance monitoring and response activities, heads up the special investigation unit, and oversees all legal activities as well as state lobbying and governmental affairs initiatives.
